History
The FICO Foundation, an acronym for Fabbrica Italiana Contadina (Italian Farming Factory), is a unique initiative established in Bologna to promote Italian food culture, sustainability and the enhancement of local agricultural production. The Foundation's main goal is to create a bridge between producers, consumers and the environment, promoting an authentic connection with Italian food and agriculture.
The FICO area covers more than 100,000 square meters and hosts a wide range of activities and attractions representing the entire Italian food production process, from field to table. The FICO Foundation is also committed to promoting environmental sustainability and responsible agriculture, highlighting the importance of biodiversity and the use of environmentally friendly farming practices.
